We went out to sunrise one morning while staying in Moab, Utah. We chose this location within Arches National Park as our destination the night before for a reason that I don’t really remember. I might send one out of the actual sunrise another time, but we stayed for quite a while and ended up having breakfast there too. As you can tell this was shot well after sunrise after the red rocks were beginning to fade.

Day 15: Monument Valley Track
This shot is from within Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. They charge a huge fee to get in (which is worth it) and then provide you with a map and a track (not worthy of road status) that loops around these buttes. It’s quite the interesting place!
Day 14: Foliage Of The Desert
Another one of these odd landscapes near the border between Utah and Arizona. It really is a harsh landscape. I guess it’s not too dissimilar from the deserts here in Australia.
Day 13: The Desert Road
This is a commonly photographed road in southern Utah. We had packed our tent up early that morning and stopped here for breakfast en route to the Grand Canyon. I’ve got a couple more coming this week of these oddly shaped mesas and buttes.
